Kirsti of Old Rauma is a historical picture book set in Old Rauma, created as my master's thesis project at Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture in collaboration with the Rauma Museum. The book explores the idyll, its fragility, and its transient nature. Although the story is fictional, its elements are rooted in reality. The goal of the book is to foster an appreciation of local history and present it in an unconventional, inspiring way. Kirsti of Old Rauma is intended not only for anyone passionate about cultural history, but also for travelers captivated by the charm of Rauma.
