For a Finnish illustrator, there could hardly be a greater honor than bringing an exhibition about Jean Sibelius to life. Yet that was precisely the commission I received. In celebration of Sibelius's 150th anniversary, Häme Castle was planning an exhibition depicting the composer's childhood and youth, set to be on display for an entire year. In addition to the illustrations, I was commissioned to create the exhibition graphics, which included a map, invitations, posters, and eight large-scale panels narrating the future maestro's early life in Hämeenlinna.
