I believe that good design, art, and visual thinking can bring beauty, joy, and meaning to the world. I am a Master of Arts, graphic designer, illustrator, and artist—someone who has carried a pen in hand for as long as I can remember.
My mother says that even at the age of three, I carried a bag everywhere that always held a pen and paper. I wanted to draw wherever I went. My childhood was filled with illustrating buildings, animals, and people, but also designing spaces. I sketched out renovations for our family home to such an extent that an architect friend of the family even drafted my ideas into proper blueprints.
After upper secondary school, I studied at the Lahti Institute of Design, graduating with a Bachelor of Culture and Arts in Graphic Design in 2006. Later, I deepened my expertise by completing a Master of Arts degree at Aalto University, graduating in 2011. Following that, I became an entrepreneur and have had the privilege to work across a wide spectrum of visual communication, branding, and creative design.
For the past 7.5 years, I served as the Art Director for a corporate group operating in the construction and real estate industry. Alongside my primary role, I carried out my own art projects, weaving together my passion for visual storytelling, forms, materials, and the surrounding environment. Now, I have returned full-time to entrepreneurship.
Creativity is an intrinsic part of my life outside work, too. I make handicrafts, ceramics, and art, work on building my house, and spend time in nature—kayaking, sailing, and walking. Especially during summer, a sketchbook goes with me everywhere. Its pages capture the shapes, structures, lights, shadows, landscapes, and rhythms I encounter along the way—those subtle observations from which new ideas are often born.
